☕ Morning fam,
We are on borrowed time. Negro leaders squandered the last 75 years since the Civil Rights Era chasing validation and putting our issues on the back burner to fight for white women, the lgbtq community and illegals, falling for the con that they would help us fight our battles at a later time. Our ‘reward’ and their undying devotion to come later, if we would just keep hope alive. And that we did only to find ourselves in a deeper hole and all our issues worsened. And with footprints on our backs from every other group to use us as a stepping stone.
Not only did they fund and help position groups we have to compete with, they made is possible for these groups to set up shop in our communities. Things they will not do for their own. The irony of the federal indictments of Lewis Reed, Jeffrey Boyd and John Muhammad is that they wouldn’t be in this position if they dealt with other groups the way they deal with their own. They would never risk their careers, freedom or reputations for black people. Its rare they even legitimately support black people. They have contempt for black people.
The feeling is mutual.
EPILOGUE
There are no tears for any of them. Former police chief O’Toole, notorious for leading strongarm tactics by police against protesters came out in support for John Muhammad which is leading to more questions. The shock of it all seems to have worn off for Lewis Reed who at one point refused to resign, thinking he could continue to serve as the President of the Board of Aldermen… He’s now waiting his fate. And Jeffrey Boyd, the most egregious of the three? Is facing up to 20 years.
