Dems fucked up. They misunderestimated risks they were taking by not codifying Roe v Wade and instead using the threat of it being struct down as a fundraising tool and potential fallout should they get caught slipping and it was reversed. They perfected the art of it so well, they didn’t see this coming, until the leak and the reversal was weeks away.
By the time they realized shit was real, they were deeply emerged in Jan 6th hearings production, so fixated on making Donald Trump and Republicans look bad, they didn’t make an attempt or pressure Biden to save it. We all knew this was coming. It was leaked. And at that moment Dems made a choice that will go down as the final nail in their coffin: going after Trump rather than codify abortion. Trump is the hill they chose to die on. And it backfired, bigly with the Supreme Court giving MAGA a huge victory, a victory that could shatter Dems most loyal base… and the Jan 6th hearings are in shambles.
The fallout. The reversal of Roe v Wade isn’t the campaign or fundraising tool Dems thought it would be. Their base is livid. There has been no accountability, no reflection, no “What could we have done different?” and no plan whatsoever…only requests for donations. Let’s look at the otherside. Conservatives have a plan and its already being enacted in red states. Our governor signed a proclamation ‘activating the “Right to Life of the Unborn Child Act,” ending elective abortions in the State’.
Not surprised Bubba beat these elitists. They are out of touch. They live in a bubble world and echo chamber. They have no idea how out of touch and how in left field they are because they get this talking points drilled into them, they look at / listen to left leaning news. Hollywood and black celebrity are in on the production. They’re surrounded by yes men & women. And they’re completely detached from the people. And the people are tired of/done with censorship and mandates.
Given the choice of staying the course, swallowing another Dem failure, funding and following the mofos that allowed the reversal of Roe v Wade to happen on their watch or doing their own thing, people are choosing to do their own thing.
The one win and proof intersectionality worked that Dems pointed to and modeled all actions after for half a century was Roe v Wade. Now they have nothing.
