☕ Morning fam,
Black America is sloooooooowly awakening out of the deeeeep slumber of the past 75 years… from the bottom up. Those at the top scared of losing what little they amassed… little in the grand scheme of things. Because at the end of the day we don’t collectively own anything. We don’t control anything. There is no industry we can point to that we own despite being overwhelmingly the labor. We ab re always the help. No other group buys our goods or services, retail or wholesale. We are the biggest consumers, yet don’t produce shit.
The little we have been able amass individually is either attached to the system which keeps us dependent or to whiteness with white folks reaping maximum benefit while we get crumbs, again in the grand scheme of things.
We have nothing because for far too many their crumb is enough. They don’t want to risk losing it, not even for better.
They talk the talk, but have no faith.
And don’t think we can collectively do better.
