☕ Morning fam,
When all you see from leadership is failure, you rise up and your movement is co-opted, you stop thinking success or change is possible and settle… for crumbs, a position/positioning within the system you were just fighting and seeking comfort in your discomfort. That’s what a lot of people are feeling in St. Louis.

The region learned nothing from Ferguson. Black leadership has shown it can be just as anti-black as white leadership they were voted in to replace. Reform is the city outsourcing it’s responsibilities to nonprofits that are not equipped to handle the task. The movement is in bed with the Dem Party, black misleaders, white progressives and the black clergy. Kim Gardner’s office has a backlog of over 4000 cases. Close the Workhouse failed, Homelessness worsened, Defund failed, violent crime is out of control, homicides are high, the city was named the child murder capital, community/police relationship is at an alltime high, Ald John Muhammad out of the protest movement resigned, rumors of bribery, Mike Brown never got justice, Michael Brown Sr didn’t get compensation from BLM, Rep Cori Bush never called for Wesley Bell to reopen the murder investigation into the murder of Mike Brown and no one has been arrested for the murder of Darren Seals. Prominent activists and protesters are living off their come ups. Nobody takes responsibility for anything, no one is held accountable for anything. They all feast off the suffering.

A century ago, St. Louis boasted over a million in population. Today, the number is under 300,000 and is no longer majority black. Blacks are fleeing in droves. Replaced by Afghans and Ukrainians. The Replacement Theory is very real. That will be the legacy of the city’s first black woman mayor, along with using the first veto in over 20 years to kill money going to North St. Louis. Reversing herself a year later maybe too little too late.

And her refusal to call for the resignation of Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner. St. Louis has learned not to expect much, but sentiment against Gardner is increasing as we’re heading into what will be a very deadly summer. Criminals have Carte Blanche. Party infighting with all sides exploiting race. Feels like no one is in control, in the city or county. And everything is swept under the rug.

One of these straws is gonna break the camel’s back.
