☕Morning fam,
Memba all the talk about “When the revolution comes….” Well that time is now. And its not being ushered in at the hand of black people, the most aggrieved, MAGA has taken the reigns. And because it isn’t coming at the hands of black people or a black leader and doesn’t look the way we fantasized, many of us don’t see the forest for the trees and are unable to read the handwriting on the wall.
At a time we should be gearing up, leveling up and preparing for what is to come, black leaders are allowing themselves to be used as political pawns, black celebrity is chasing a bag and we’re fighting among ourselves. All while refusing to build or support those building the systems and institutions needed to fight this battle.
Many of us are defeated, are seeking comfort in the systems/institutions we’re supposed to be fighting and/or are still operating under the assumption that somebody is gonna save us.
And the worse is yet to come.
