Celebrating The Life Of Proof, A Detroit Rap Legend – Mudd Honors The 5 ELA / D12 Hip Hop Icon

On April 11, 2006, the world lost a Hip Hop cultural icon, the legendary Proof, who gained fame as a member of D12 and hype-man for Eminem, but before that he was a founding member of 5 ELA/5 Elementz, alongside Mudd and Thyme, with DJ Head on the turntables and Jay Dee on the beats.

Moorish Mudd honors his big brother Deshaun “Proof” Holton by telling his story of their meeting and his own growth as a young man under his schooling, plus a heartfelt message to the Detroit Hip Hop community who are still deeply missing their fallen soldier.
