This groundbreaking open-format party event brought together the island’s best party DJs and music lovers for an unforgettable competitive showcase of talent, creativity, and community.
Hawaii-based DJs Caldee, Subtoll, and Jetlag took the stage for an exhibition showcase, delivering 15-minute club-style sets inspired by the DMC Open format, blending genres, tempos, and eras with creativity and skill.
Local favorite DJ Tittahbyte set the tone with a 30-minute party set, paving the way for world champion DJ Miles Medina from the San Francisco Bay Area to close out the night with an unforgettable performance.
The DMC Open, a new competition by DMC World is a battle for the crowd. DJs are asked to mix seamlessly through different genres, eras, and tempos. Establishing a connection with the crowd, picking the perfect tracks to keep the crowd engaged, and utilizing the technical fundamentals of modern DJing is what the DMC Open is looking for in competitors.
