On April 20, over 500 B-Boys and B-Girls packed the Silver City Studios in Houston, Texas for the Red Bull BC One Houston Cypher. In collaboration with B-Boy City, 16 B-Boys from all over Texas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Capetown) and even a few from far away (Atlanta and San Fran), were hand-picked and battled it out over 4 heats of intense breaking, spins and holds on the dance floor before the winner prevailed. B-Boy Flexum of San Francisco, California stole the show as one of the most seasoned B-Boys in the competition. His brother, Thesis Lopez, BC One veteran and a judge for tonight’s battle, had to bow out of judging for several rounds while his brother competed for the Cypher title.
