Lil Wayne Bus Shooter Takes a RICO Plea Deal, Walks Away with Probation

Jimmy “PeeWee Roscoe” Winfrey, a YSL gang associate, entered a plea deal on Wednesday, December 4, in the ongoing YSL racketeering conspiracy trial.

This comes just a day after a jury acquitted Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick and Shannon “SB” Stillwell of all major charges, including three counts of murder.

Winfrey, who previously took an Alford plea for the 2015 shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus (acknowledging the evidence but not admitting guilt), was indicted alongside Jeffery “Young Thug” Williams in May 2022. He has remained in custody since then.

Today, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker sentenced Winfrey to probation with credit for time served, allowing him to leave jail soon.

As part of his probation, Winfrey, who works in the music industry, is prohibited from having personal contact with Young Thug. His lawyer noted this could be challenging if Winfrey collaborates with major artists like Kendrick Lamar.
