Hip-Hop is a diverse culture that channels its essence through four powerful elements: DJing, Rapping, Graffiti, and Breaking, and that’s all there is to it. When you invalidate any of the components that comprise Hip-Hop you’re indirectly invalidating the element you engage with. Each element is different, but each element is also equal in the sense that where a DJ, Rapper, Writer, or Breaker draws their creativity comes from the same Place. Rappers like Lord Jamar need to understand this.
