Nonviolence is a lifestyle that involves dealing with conflicts in a peaceful way. Nonviolent action generally comprises three categories: acts of protest and persuasion, noncooperation, and nonviolent intervention.

Violence is the justified or unjustified use of physical force to cause harm to people, animals, or property.
